If you're a lover of the sea and adore its atmosphere, what's better than the sea at the foot of a lighthouse?
The San Cataldo Lighthouse is undoubtedly one of the most historic and enduring structures in the city of Bari; built in 1869 , the lighthouse is still in full operation today, and at approximately 66 meters high and with 380 steps (among the highest in Italy), it continues to be a landmark for ships and fishing boats.

The building is located in the northernmost part of Bari , specifically in the exhibition center; in this area, you can combine the beauty of a sunset over the sea with the presence of an imposing lighthouse, perhaps accompanied by a sweet break.


In the area, there are several businesses overlooking the sea (among the very few right next to the cliff) that can be useful for entertainment while you enjoy the scenery.

Unfortunately, the lighthouse is not open to visitors, so you'll have to "make do" with admiring it from below and taking a souvenir photo with a piece of Bari's history .
