As has been the case for several years now, some places in and around Bari are preparing to host thousands of people from all over Italy and the world, looking for charming places and events to spend a pleasant Christmas period . Yes, because if you know Puglia , or even if you know it by word of mouth, you can imagine how exciting it would be to spend Christmas here among wonderful villages, lights, events, markets, Santa Claus villages and so much more. If we then add to this a gastronomic experience featuring typical Puglian Christmas products and sweets , then the game is done.
That said, we list below some events that might certainly capture your interest for spending an unforgettable Christmas holiday in the fantastic villages of Bari and the province :
In the name of Santa Claus - Bari
Bari is the city of Santa Claus , and as per tradition, it will be the day of Saint Nicholas (6 December ) that will inaugurate Christmas in Bari : lighting of the tree, markets on the walls of old Bari, Santa Claus's village in the brand new Rossani Park, a vintage market in the Japigia district and various interesting events that will warm the hearts of Bari residents and tourists.

From December 6th to January 6th it will be possible to admire 50 nativity scenes by master craftsmen from Puglia, Basilicata, Romania, and Russia Fortino di Sant'Antonio (Bari Vecchia) . living nativity scene every weekend during the Christmas period, including, of course, on December 25th .
"The Christmas Tale" - Locorotondo
Locorotondo (BA) is one of those places that you absolutely must see in Puglia , especially during the Christmas period . The way they decorate the historic center is famous, attracting thousands of people every year and recreating a charming and unique atmosphere. "Once Upon a Time in Christmas" - Polignano a Mare
Have you ever tried visiting Polignano a Mare at Christmas ? Well, if you haven't, this is the perfect opportunity. This year, the town wants to bring Christmas to life as it once was; you'll stroll among soft lights, lanterns, candles, dancers, a fire-eater, and music that will accompany you along the entire route, allowing you to experience the most ancient concept of Christmas. Monopoly Christmas Home
Monopoli Christmas Home is the Christmas event in Monopoli (BA), another beautiful town in Puglia. There will be a real Santa Claus castle with sleigh and reindeer, a large Christmas village with markets, artisans, and traditional local products, and a beautiful ice skating rink for an authentic Puglian Christmas experience! From the Living Nativity to the Nativity of Light - Alberobello
A true spectacle is also expected among the alleys of wonderful Alberobello . Not one, but two nativity scenes will await you; one will be a true "living nativity scene" (therefore in flesh and blood) and the other will be a "nativity scene of light ," accompanied by a piped-in sound system that will make your stroll among the trulli of Alberobello . Saint Nicholas who comes from the sea - Molfetta
Christmas is back in Molfetta (BA).
