The White City: Ostuni
A window to the sea and the Itria Valley: the enchanting white city to visit when you're in Puglia

Ostuni is that place you can't help but notice as you travel along the SS16 towards Brindisi.
Known as the “ white city ” due to its row of white buildings visible from afar, Ostuni is a place with an ancient medieval-style village just waiting to be discovered and experienced.
Immersed in the greenery, among olive groves and vineyards typical of the Itria Valley and at more than 200 metres above sea level, this city boasts a historic centre where time seems to have stood still.
Strolling through the streets of Ostuni, you'll notice the many small squares and alleys, filled with artisan shops and small restaurants, which will make your experience in the white city even more evocative.
Also worth noting is the ancient city wall that surrounds Ostuni , which must be passed through to access the town.
Once you arrive in Ostuni, there are areas where you can admire the surrounding landscape, including the Adriatic Sea, from above; what can I say, it's simply a breathtaking experience.
There's no ideal time to visit. Or rather, the warmer months are undoubtedly ideal, but don't rule out visiting in autumn and winter, because Ostuni is always beautiful, especially at sunset when the city lights up.
Ostuni is therefore a postcard of your experience in Puglia to be jealously preserved.
