From 4 to 31 May 2025 "Pietra Gardens - places, verses and stories in Bari Vecchia" , a cultural review now in its second edition that transforms the historic center into a real open -air theater, between art, literature, music and urban itineraries.

The event, organized by the APS Martinus with the support of the Bari Chamber of Commerce, is inspired by the charm of the "Maggio from Bari" and proposes a rich calendar of events designed to rediscover Bari with new eyes, enhancing its material and immaterial heritage.

The events of May in Bari Vecchia

The program opens on Sunday 4 and Monday 5 May with two introductory appointments, and then gets to the heart on Saturday 10 May , the date on which the review will be officially inaugurated at the suggestive Bianchi Dottula Court , in the heart of Old Bari. From that moment, every corner of the historic center - from millennial churches to hidden courts - will be the protagonist of book presentations, exhibitions, theatrical performances, concerts and guided tours in the heart of Old Bari .

Among the symbolic spaces of the 2025 edition there is the church of San Martino , reopened after 60 years thanks to the PEPS Martinus, and the Court Bianchi Dottula , brought back to its ancient splendor thanks to a careful restoration: it will be here that many of the events will take place, immersed in history and stone.

A journey between stone, history and identity

Giardini di Pietra is not only a review, but an immersive experience: each appointment is an invitation to rediscover the secrets of Bari , including picturesque arches, disappeared monasteries and stories that resurface from the carved facades of the historic center. This year the gaze expands : we will also talk about places and stories of the Puglia , for a cultural journey that embraces the entire territory.
