A giant streetlight on Bari's waterfront illuminates Midtown Financial. A new initiative dedicated to the city.
“Hey New York. It's time to discover Bari .” This was the message that appeared on Manhattan's Midtown Financial (MiFi) (in the heart of New York), during the screening of a new initiative by BariExperience.com, which brings Bari back to the international stage, in the heart of the Big Apple . The occasion is the recent inauguration of the direct New York-Bari , active until October 15, 2025, which brings together two distant but similar worlds. And right there, on the monumental screens that face thousands of people every day, a typical symbol of the city appeared – in the early afternoon of Tuesday, August 5 (around 7:00 PM in Italy): the characteristic waterfront , which dominated the scene for a few seconds, shining from a height ranging from 20 to 50 meters above the ground.
The images appeared on two LED screens located on the 22-story building at the corner of 7th Avenue and 43rd Street. This strategic location is clearly visible to the thousands of pedestrians and vehicles that pass through Times Square , also known as the "crossroads of the world." The 15-second spot concluded with the message: "Southern Italy Calls!" , underscoring the growing appeal of Southern Italy and Puglia.

Thus, the initiative, broadcast in Manhattan , aims to capture the attention of New Yorkers and beyond, presenting Bari as a destination waiting to be discovered: "I chose a simple yet highly distinctive symbol, suitable for Times Square, where visual competition is very high. Focusing on short and effective messages is, in my opinion, the best way to stand out among the many colors of New York," explains Dr. Ivan Giuliani , communications expert and founder of BariExperience.com . "Bringing the image of the streetlight, the symbol of Bari's waterfront, to these screens is an opportunity to convey our city's identity to a global audience, making it recognizable even beyond national borders.
